Delete Instagram connection data

ShootCal Websites

When you connect Instagram for a ShootCal Website, ShootCal stores an encrypted Page access token, the selected professional Instagram account identity, and a bounded cache of the media needed to render your feed. The token is never included in your Website document or sent to page visitors.

• Sign in to the ShootCal web app and open Settings.
• In Instagram feed, choose Disconnect and confirm.
• ShootCal immediately removes the encrypted token, selected account identity, pending connection attempts, and cached Instagram media. Your ShootCal account and Website content remain in place.

ShootCal Social Feed for WordPress

The WordPress plugin stores its encrypted token and feed cache inside your own WordPress installation. ShootCal's connection broker keeps only short-lived authorization data needed to complete the handoff and does not retain the WordPress site's token after redemption.

• In WordPress, open Settings, then ShootCal Social Feed.
• Choose Disconnect and clear cache, then confirm. This removes the locally encrypted token, selected Instagram account identifier, connection state, and cached feed.
• Uninstalling the plugin also removes its options, cached feed, connection state, refresh status, lock, and scheduled refresh job.

Remove ShootCal from Facebook

You can also remove ShootCal from Facebook's Apps and Websites settings. That revokes Meta access. Disconnect in ShootCal or WordPress as described above as well, so the corresponding local cache is deleted immediately.

Need help?

If you cannot access the disconnect control, email support@shootcal.com from the address on your ShootCal account and request Instagram connection data deletion. For a self-hosted WordPress site, include the site address; you or the site's administrator remain the only people who can delete data from that WordPress database.
