The website builder is open to every ShootCal Galleries studio, including Free, for as long as the beta runs. There is nothing to add to your plan and nothing to migrate: your galleries, studio name, and logo are already there, so a first draft exists the moment you open it.
One copy of your work
The galleries you already deliver are the portfolio.
Gallery photographs are not uploaded twice. A website block can point to an active gallery you have deliberately made Public, so current work can move from delivery to your portfolio without a second upload. When a visitor opens a photograph, they enter the real ShootCal gallery rather than a flattened copy of it.
Pick galleries, not files
Featured-gallery and photo-grid blocks list eligible Public galleries in your studio, newest first, with search once you have more than a handful. Choose the ones you want shown.
The viewer clients already use
A photograph opens full screen with swiping and zooming, and every gallery keeps its own settings for favorites, downloads, and print ordering. Your site is a door into your galleries, not a duplicate of them.
Removing a gallery removes its website references
Delete or trash a gallery and its references disappear from the website. Your wording, layout, and other pages remain.
Editing
Set up the site, then edit the page.
Choose the theme, logo, page names, addresses, and menu order from one calm Website screen. Then open a page to type on the design itself and drag its blocks into place. Hero, gallery, about, testimonials, availability, contact, layout, and typography blocks give you room to make it yours without turning the editor into a control panel.
Five flexible page slots
Start with Home, Weddings, Engagements, Families, and Contact. Rename Families to Newborn, reorder the menu, or hide a page without deleting its blocks or history.
Nothing is public until you publish
Editing happens in a private draft. Press Publish when it is ready, and Unpublish whenever you want it gone. The draft and its history stay.
A history you can walk back
It autosaves after a pause, keeps the checkpoints you ask for, and lets you preview any earlier revision on every page before restoring it as a new draft.
Booking
“Are you free that weekend?”, answered on the page.
Drop in your ShootCal availability calendar and visitors can see which dates are open before they write to you. The contact form sends inquiries to your account email through ShootCal, without a third-party form service or exposing private gallery data.
Search
Findable when you want to be, invisible until then.
Search indexing is off until you switch it on, so a half-finished site never turns up in results. When you are ready, each visible page can have its own title and description, helping search engines tell the pages apart even after you rename them.
Your own domain
One brand, two clear addresses.
On Plus and Pro, connect www.yourstudio.com to your Website and galleries.yourstudio.com to client galleries. ShootCal serves and secures both, so you keep one brand without buying separate website hosting.

Gallery, download, and store links use a separate galleries hostname, so delivery never gets mixed into the business site.

What does beta mean here?
It is complete enough to publish a real website: autosave and revision history work, and you can publish or unpublish the site. We are still improving it based on what photographers ask for. It is free on every plan while the beta runs.
Is it really free?
Yes, on every plan including Free, for as long as the beta lasts. The one thing that is not included is connecting your own domain, which uses the same custom domain feature as your galleries and stays on Plus and Pro. If pricing ever changes we will say so clearly and well ahead of time.
Do I have to upload my photos again?
Not for gallery blocks. They use eligible Public galleries you already publish. Hero and About photos are uploaded separately to the website's small image library.
What happens to my galleries page?
Nothing. Your gallery portfolio stays where it is and keeps its address, so every link you have already given a client keeps working. The website is a separate address that never changes meaning.
Can I take the website down?
Yes. Unpublish takes it offline immediately and sends visitors back to your galleries portfolio. Your draft and retained revision history stay saved, so you can publish again whenever you like.
How much can I change?
Wording, photographs, section order, colors, typeface, corner rounding, shadows, and your logo. You can also rename, reorder, hide, restore, and change the address of the five page slots.
Is it a replacement for a full custom website?
It is designed as a focused portfolio, not a bespoke site. If you need a blog, ecommerce, or custom templates, a full website platform will fit better. If you need a professional presence that stays connected to current galleries, this is built for that.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Plus and Pro. Use www.yourstudio.com for the Website and galleries.yourstudio.com for client galleries; each connects separately, and the permanent ShootCal addresses keep working.
