One ShootCal Account for the App and Galleries ​

ShootCal uses one verified account across the scheduling web app, Galleries, and the Lightroom Classic plugin. They share a stable ShootCal account identity. A verified Google or Microsoft identity can use the website without adding a password. The current public Lightroom plugin also supports website sign-in: approve the device in your browser using the same ShootCal account. You manage Galleries and your Website inside ShootCal at app.shootcal.com, so one sign-in covers them. Galleries keeps its own product data.

Set up your account ​

  1. Create your ShootCal account with your photographer and studio names. You can use email and password, or continue with Google or Microsoft to identify your account; that identity does not connect a calendar. Adding a password stays optional. The current Lightroom plugin can use browser approval with your existing Google, Microsoft, or email sign-in.
  2. Verify your email, choose the ShootCal URL clients will see, and accept the Galleries terms and content policy.
  3. ShootCal creates the ready-to-use Free Galleries studio under the same stable account identity. Choose Galleries at the top of ShootCal to use it; there is no second registration or password.

If you already have a Galleries studio, Continue with ShootCal links it by the verified stable identity without losing galleries, settings, its permanent address, or its current plan. An ambiguous legacy match stops for ownership review instead of guessing from email.

In Lightroom Classic, choose Sign in to ShootCal, sign in with your existing account, and approve the device. A ShootCal password is not required for provider-identity accounts. See plugin setup for the current download and browser approval steps. Passwords, when used for account sign-in, are verified by ShootCal and are never copied into the Galleries database.

What becomes connected ​

  • The Client field in New gallery searches clients from both Galleries and the ShootCal app.
  • Deliveries shows each client's bookings and contract status beside their galleries, favorites, downloads, and orders.
  • Choose Galleries at the top, then New gallery, select the client, and create an empty, unlisted gallery draft for them. Existing galleries remain available from the client’s scheduling history.
  • Your light and dark logos live in ShootCal Settings, and Galleries and the website builder use them wherever your brand appears.

The Free studio workspace is part of account setup, but individual client galleries are never created automatically. A client gallery exists only when you ask for one, so adding a client does not quietly fill the studio with empty drafts.

What remains separate ​

Gallery photos, delivery settings, favorites, store orders, and plan billing remain in the Galleries service. ShootCal is the shared account and password authority. ShootCal appointments, saved clients, contracts, and booking settings remain with the scheduling app. The explicit earlier-Google-tasks import and optional calendar sync are separate integrations. Signing out does not delete any of your data.
