My client didn’t get the gallery email
Gallery delivery emails are sent from notify@shootcal.com with your studio name as the sender, and replies go straight to your own email address. Occasionally a client’s mail provider (most often Outlook and Hotmail) files the first email from a new sender into the junk folder. Here’s how to fix it and how to avoid it.
First: have your client check junk or spam
Ask them to search their mailbox (including Junk or Spam) for your studio name or notify@shootcal.com.
If it’s in junk, have them open it and choose Not junk (Outlook/Hotmail) or Report not spam (Gmail). This teaches their mailbox to trust future gallery emails.
For extra certainty, they can add notify@shootcal.com to their contacts or safe-senders list — future deliveries will land in the inbox.
You can always share the link directly
The email is a convenience — the gallery link itself is what matters. On Send & Share, use Copy next to the gallery link and text or message it to your client along with the download PIN if one is set. Nothing about their access depends on the email.
Tips that keep delivery emails out of spam
Use a real client email address typed carefully — a typo’d address that bounces hurts future deliverability.
Personalize the message. A short personal note alongside the gallery link reads better to spam filters (and to clients) than a bare link.
Send a test to yourself first with Send myself a test — you’ll see exactly what the client receives.
Tell clients to expect it. A quick “your gallery email is coming from my studio via ShootCal” heads off surprises with strict mail providers.
Behind the scenes, ShootCal signs every delivery email with the industry-standard authentication (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC) that mail providers check. If a client still can’t find an email after the steps above, contact us and we’ll look into the specific delivery.
