Tasks and client follow-ups

< 1 min read

ShootCal keeps to-dos separate from calendar events. Tasks live in a dedicated ShootCal list in your Google Tasks account, so completing one in ShootCal or Google Tasks updates the same item.

General tasks #

Open the Tasks calendar view, add a title, and optionally choose a due date. You can edit, complete, reopen, or delete the task from ShootCal. Open tasks appear before completed tasks.

Client follow-ups #

Open a client and add a follow-up such as “send wardrobe guide,” “check album choices,” or “deliver gallery.” The task stays associated with that client in ShootCal while remaining an ordinary Google Task. Event details can also create a dated follow-up.

Permission and older accounts #

New sign-ins include the verified Google Tasks permission. An account that signed in before Tasks was added may see Connect Google Tasks once; that flow adds the missing permission without removing Calendar access.

Interrupted creates #

If the network drops after Google may have created a task, ShootCal retains the original operation. Retry it to recover the same task. Discard it only after checking Google Tasks and confirming that no task was created, otherwise a second attempt could create a duplicate.
