Client favorites and proofing

< 1 min read

Clients can mark and send favorite photographs without creating an account. Favorites are separated by client email, so two people viewing the same gallery can keep independent selections.

The client workflow #

  1. The client enters an email when first using favorites.
  2. They tap the heart on any photograph and can filter the gallery to selected images.
  3. The selections page shows each photograph large enough to review and accepts a note for that image.
  4. They can add one overall message and send the finished selection to the studio.

Unsent picks and notes are saved so the client can close the browser and continue later. A completed submission remains visible to the photographer even if the gallery is later republished.

Review in the studio admin #

Open Favorites globally or from a specific gallery. Each set shows the client, selected photographs, per-photo notes, and overall message. The gallery and Clients views also summarize unsent hearts, submitted selections, gallery views, and download activity.

Return to Lightroom #

Use Copy Lightroom list to copy the selected filenames, then paste them into Lightroom’s Library filter. Republishing does not erase favorites because a selection is tied to the photograph record rather than its current rendered preview.
