Connecting ShootCal Galleries with the ShootCal app

1 min read

ShootCal Galleries and the ShootCal scheduling app are separate accounts that connect through the same verified email address. They do not share passwords or session cookies. This keeps each product’s sign-in boundary clear while letting the two client lists work together.

Set up the connection #

  1. Open ShootCal Galleries and choose Google sign-in.
  2. If no Galleries studio exists for that verified email, ShootCal offers a prefilled studio registration. Finish registration and accept the Galleries terms.
  3. Use the same email as the Google account connected to the ShootCal app. The server matches only verified account email, not a user id supplied by the browser.

If you registered with Google, create a Galleries password under Settings before using the Lightroom Classic plugin. Google sign-in continues to work on the website.

What becomes connected #

  • The Galleries client picker can search clients from both Galleries and the ShootCal app.
  • A client view can show bookings and contract status beside galleries, favorites, downloads, and orders.
  • The web app and Mac app can create an empty, unlisted gallery draft from a client or booking.
  • Galleries can automatically create a draft for each new ShootCal client when that setting is enabled.

What remains separate #

Gallery photos, delivery settings, favorites, store orders, plan billing, and Galleries authentication remain in the Galleries service. Google Calendar events, Google Contacts, tasks, contracts, and booking settings remain with the ShootCal app. Disconnecting one product does not delete the other product’s data.
